I always mention the importance of decluttering in my blog post, it’s not just a saying there is a logic behind keeping our homes organized because it’s the source of influence that keeps our minds clear and focused. When we were told by our parents to help them with the house cleaning back when we were young it was just another boring task for us. It might still be boring to a lot of us who are busy and have limited time to spend on these menial chores, but we have resources to get it done when we know the benefits it gives us.

When we discuss about decluttering, what comes to your mind?
Earlier when I thought about cleaning it was only related with organizing the closet, kitchen cabinets, storage boxes which needed to updated every six months with the change of weather and I am sure most of us here in North America agree to it. As with various advancing meditation techniques and vedic vastu shastra approach in life it has enhanced my understanding on this topic. Now there is an intention and an affirmation attached with it, every time I do de-cluttering of any space or suggest it to someone, I add these positive thoughts in words to create a new pattern.
“As I cleanse each space today, I sprinkle love and make space for the new to help me discover the untouched beauty of this place which subsequently helps me search the unexplored areas of my life”.
“As I clean the refrigerator today, I allow only fresh and healthy food to be in it to help me being healthy and fit”.
“As I de clutter the closets, I approve of only the best dresses and garments that beautify my confidence in them be in there. I discard everything that does not serve me in any form today”.
“As I organize my kitchen, I choose excellent utensils to cook and serve which serves our inner health for our cellular balance. I have plenty of room for all healing herbs in my kitchen cabinets. I release all old pattern of cooking and modify my cooking habits to get the best nutrition of food at all levels".
“As I re-organize my storage seasonal boxes, I let go of the old item for donation to serve a better purpose. I now invite openness and freedom to be free from any additional burden of storage".
“As I arrange my spiritual books, I treasure them, I take good care of them and keep them organized. I give those away which no longer serves anyone of us for the rest of lives like the school and educational books”.
"As I make my bed each day, I affirm to have a sound sleep to wake up every morning feeling fresh and rejuvenated".
Let the spring plant new seeds of life, hope, love, new beginning and good health for you and each one out there to be blessed and healthy. Let the old be released to induce new life paths for everyone.
