Every decor we use as center piece to add beauty to the space has its own energy, attraction and purpose which is why we purchase it for our self or as a gift. We never go beyond the physical aspect of any decor. When we use a deity statue/ portrait it has an energy and an aura of its own hence we should be very careful while gifting these to anyone for the following reasons such as multiple deity statues in a house creates indecisiveness and aggressive energy which is not easy to handle in our routine lifestyle. Most of Indian homes already have their deity pictures or portraits, so gifting one more of a different kind does not help rather it is sometimes kept in the storage space and not even used. Instead take fresh flowers, some dry fruits or something memorable to be cherished.

SERIES 2/11 Buying or Gifting Deity Statues, portraits and a little more to it.

1. Wholistic living space suggests quick scanning for these decorative items in your house and placing them in the right direction.

2. The deity statue only in the living room or family room never in a couple bedroom.

3. Ideally Altar or mandir should be the only place to keep the deity picture or portrait in a clean space with respect. They can be placed in east or west direction.

4. Having a lot of religious statues and pictures in the house creates difference in the opinions of the family members adding to create stressed energy in the house due to miscommunication and misunderstandings.

5. Do not have very aggressive statues or pictures of goddess kali or any other form in the house.

6. Placing a deity such as God Ganeshji, Lord Buddha, saint Mira bai on the entryway table always repels the energy of the house out of the house if kept in front of the entrance on the entry way table. This creates an energy leak in the positive energy of the house.

7. Directions, being important while placing deity statues as decoration center piece or as Vedic Vastu energizers for instances,

  • Hanumanji idol or portrait for a south facing home acts as a protection shield.

  • Goddess Durga helps in the Southeast direction. For all the other directions it should be avoided.

  • Most deity pictures when placed in the temple / mandir / altar place should be kept in the Northeast direction.

  • Guru Nanak devji and other pictures of gurus are best suggested in the west direction.

  • Only god Ganeshji can be placed in multiple directions such as East, West, Northeast and Northwest.

  • Goddess Laxmi idol can be placed with respect for decor in the west direction.

  • Goddess Sarastwati is best in Northeast direction.

8. We should avoid gift any religious pictures as gift because to pay your respect towards it since we do not know how well it would be taken care and respected. When it is not well cared it adds to your karmic log.
